In this article, we will show you how to make weed tea. Weed tea is a safe and healthy way to consume cannabis without the sugar found in many edibles. If you want to use weed, but you don’t want to smoke or vape, try making weed tea.How to Make Weed Tea Weed tea is technically an edible as it passes through your digestive system. As a result, you will probably feel the effects of weed tea around 30 minutes to two hours after ingestion. The effects may last for up to 12 hours depending on your tolerance, dose, and your unique endocannabinoid system.

How to Make Weed Tea

You will need between .5 grams and 2 grams of cannabis flower to make weed tea. If you have never tried weed tea before, start with a low dose of cannabis as the effects of edibles can be unpredictable if you aren’t familiar with this weed ingestion method. You will also need a teabag of your favorite tea. Many people like to use a chai blend as the powerful spice flavors mix well with the taste of cannabis tea. If you are interested in amplifying the effects of your weed tea, you could try making it with green tea or black tea. Green tea and black tea are weed companion foods, or foods that may alter how cannabis affects you. Catechins are chemical compounds found in tea. Green tea has higher levels of catechins than black tea, but both are significant sources of these compounds. Catechins have been found to interact with both CB1 and CB2 receptors. Once you have your cannabis and your favorite tea ready, you need a small pot of water and a tablespoon of your favorite fat. Cannabinoids are fat-soluble, so you need a fat source in your weed tea to feel the effects of weed. Most people choose coconut oil or butter, but any fat will work. Lastly, you will need a strainer or colander to filter out the plant matter after you have made your weed tea.How to Make Weed Tea Before you get started, we recommend decarbing your weed. Decarboxylation is a chemical reaction in which a carboxylic acid group (COOH) is removed from a molecule, releasing carbon dioxide in the process. With cannabis, THCA is converted into THC—the molecule responsible for cannabis’ psychoactive effects. To decarb your weed, preheat your oven to 214 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread your cannabis in a thin layer on a cookie sheet and let it sit in the oven for 60-75 minutes.
