How to Make Weed Infused Hot Cocoa
In this article, we will teach you how to make weed infused hot cocoa.

Cannabis-infused hot chocolate is the perfect treat to warm you up in the cold months, or any time of year when you need a cozy pick-me-up.
The best part about weed infused hot cocoa is that chocolate is a
cannabis companion food, which means that some of the compounds in chocolate may enhance your cannabis experience.
Now let's learn how to make cannabis infused hot chocolate!
What Is Cannabis Hot Chocolate?
Cannabis hot chocolate, also known as marijuana-infused hot cocoa, is a delicious way to ingest cannabis.
Cannabis-infused beverages are like edibles in that the body metabolizes them through the digestive tract. This
cannabis ingestion method is called oral ingestion. Oral ingestion is a great way for people to enjoy the benefits of cannabis without having to smoke anything.
How to Make Weed-Infused Hot Chocolate
Let’s learn how to make weed infused hot cocoa.
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil.
- 1 Cup of milk. Any type of milk (dairy or dairy-free) will work just fine.
- 2 Tablespoons of cocoa powder. To give your weed-infused hot cocoa a chocolatey taste, make sure you use unsweetened cocoa powder.
- 1 Cup of water
- A coffee filter
- 1-2 grams of decarboxylated cannabis. (Note: Cannabis won't give you the “high” if you don't decarboxylate it.)
Decarboxylation involves heating cannabis to activate the cannabinoids and converting

THCA to THC. To “decarb” your cannabis flower, bake finely ground cannabis on a cookie sheet at 220-245°F for approximately 40 minutes.
After you've assembled the ingredients, it's time to make cannabis-infused hot cocoa.
Let's dive into the recipe for weed infused hot cocoa.
Directions for How to Make Weed Infused Hot Chocolate
- In a saucepan, mix cannabis, milk, coconut oil, and water. Don't forget to add coconut oil at this stage. Cannabinoids are fat-soluble, so you need to add a fat to feel the effects of cannabis.
- Heat slowly. Stir every few minutes until the milk reaches 170-180°F. Make sure it doesn’t boil.
- Put cocoa powder into your mug and set a coffee filter or mesh strainer on top of it.
- After heating the milk and cannabis for several minutes, pour it through the filter.
- Discard the residual plant matter and coffee filter once you are done.
Now you can sit back, enjoy your delicious weed-infused hot cocoa, and
relax with cannabis.
How Much Weed-Infused Hot Cocoa Is Too Much?
In general, it is always a good idea to start with a
low dose of cannabis and increase your dose as needed. Cannabis-infused drinks and edibles take about 45 minutes to kick in. You can expect to feel the effects within 30 minutes to 1 hour.
If you drink too much weed-infused

hot cocoa too quickly, you may experience adverse
side effects from marijuana, or even experience a
THC overdose.
